Synchronize Grasshopper with Midi over filtered events and not with polling (such as timers). It comes with a threshold mechanism in order to ignore same message types for a variable time. This will only update your design based on the new value of the slider for example every 50ms instead of updating it 128 when you fully turn a knob.
