That's basically impossible. Ios doesn't have active or hover states. You could probably get it to work with some js touch events, but it will end up very complicated.

I'll fix this with the ripple JS helper.

I just found this simple hack : http://alxgbsn.co.uk/2011/10/17/enable-css-active-pseudo-styles-in-mobile-safari/
Not sure if it still works today.
