Purpose:

The purpose of this GitHub issue is to coordinate and document the planning and execution of our first on-site Conference at API Days Paris 2024. This will serve as a central hub for collaboration, ensuring seamless and successful participation in the event.

About the Conference:

Event Name: API Days Paris 2024
Date: 3-5 December
Location: Paris
Audience: Adopters, implementers, leaders, and innovators of the JSON Schema Ecosystem

Goals:

Community Engagement:
Foster meaningful interactions with conference attendees to strengthen our open source community connections.

Project Visibility:
Increase brand visibility through strategic booth discussions, branded materials, and active participation in our conference sessions.

Attract prospect adopters and sponsors:
Identify potential adopters and sponsors.

Innovation:
Discuss the future challenges of JSON Schema with the community.

Action Plan (Checklist):

Pre-Conference Planning:

  • Launch website
    • Last changes in the website
    • Cloudflare setup
  • Promotion plan with a focus on sponsors and talks submissions.
    • Slack
    • Twitter and Linkedin
    • Open Collective
  • CFP Management
  • Partners Management - API Days & AsyncAPI
  • Merchandising / Swag
    • Decide what
    • Order
    • How to submit it
  • Booth Setup.
    • Generate a QR to fill the adopters form.
    • Decide the prize and prepare a raffle.
  • Define attending team.

On-Site Execution:

  • Engagement Strategy
  • Collect success metrics

Post-Conference Evaluation:

  • Metrics Evaluation
  • Follow-up with contacts
  • Share blog with report

Website stuff and CFP management sound like the places I'd be most suited to contribute. I have no social media presence these days, so I'm not likely to be helpful with promotion on twitter/linkedin/etc. I wouldn't know where to start with merchandising/swag, but if you have specific tasks you assign me, I'd be happy to help out.

Hi everyone. Quick update. Website is live and I created a slack conversation between @jdesrosiers @jviotti and myself to discuss the CFP submissions.
